Kintla Classroom

Ages 2 – 3

The Kintla Classroom focuses on exposure to letters, letter sounds, numbers, identifying and spelling their names, early math concepts like counting, patterns, and one - to - one correspondence, read alouds with rich literature, science experiments, art, play based learning inside and outside, centers focusing on fine motor skills, songs, nursery rhymes, social skills, independent skills, and a whole bunch of giggles.

Our 2/3 classroom utilizes Zoophonics and Handwriting without Tears as our foundation, with a weekly theme our lessons for the week are based around.

Children do not need to be potty trained to join this classroom, we work on it at school too , but must be potty trained to move to the 4/5 classroom. Camas provides wipes and parents provide diapers/pullups and any diaper cream their child will need.

Each day we offer a rest time for this class from 12-2pm. We do not require they sleep, but we do require that students rest quietly. We provide nap mats we clean daily, while parents provide a blanket and pillow or special stuffy that is sent home each week for washing and returned the following week.

Camas provides two snacks each day focusing on two of the following at each snack time, a healthy fruit, veggie, carb, fat, and/or protein. Families bring a packed lunch each day for their little learner.
